Counting Blocks

In this lesson, students will read about ones blocks and tens blocks to count by tens and ones.

CONTENT OBJECTIVE: I can count using tens and ones and tell the total.

WIDA Standard 2 (Language Arts): Use math vocabulary (tens, ones, total) in sentences.

WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use frames to explain (e.g., “1 tens block is 10; plus ___ ones is ___.”).
