Colors All Around

In this lesson, students will read about how some things have one color, many colors, or no color, and how colors can be light or dark.

CONTENT OBJECTIVE: I can describe and compare how colors appear in people, animals, and things in the world.

• WIDA Standard 2 (Language Arts): Use descriptive words to identify and compare features (one color, many colors, light, dark).

• WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use simple phrases to share ideas with peers (“This flower has one color.” / “Water has no color.”).
