Where Is Water?

In this lesson, students will read about the many places where water is found on Earth, including rivers, lakes, ponds, oceans, air, ice, and underground.

CONTENT OBJECTIVE: I can name places where water is found on Earth.

WIDA Standard 4 (Science): Name Earth’s major water sources and distinguish moving vs. still water.

WIDA Standard 2 (Language Arts): Use informational sentences to describe where water is found.

WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use frames (e.g., “Water is in ___.” “We need water to ___.”).
