These Are Colors

In this lesson, students will read about many colors in the world, learning how they can be light or dark and appear in animals, plants, and objects.

CONTENT OBJECTIVE: I can identify colors and describe things in the world that are those colors.

• WIDA Standard 2 (Language Arts): Use descriptive words to identify and describe objects by color (light, dark, fruit, animal, plant).

• WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use simple phrases to share ideas with peers (“This is a red fruit.” / “This is a black sky.”).
