Adding Insects and Arachnids

In this lesson, students will add insects and arachnids.

CONTENT OBJECTIVE: I can add numbers up to 10. 

WIDA Standard 4 (Math): Add within 10 using objects; use symbols + and =.

WIDA Standard 2 (Language Arts): Use “plus,” “equals,” and “altogether” in sentences.

WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use frames (e.g., “___ + ___ = ___.” “There are ___ altogether.”).
