Earth’s Resources

In this lesson, students will learn about some of the resources from Earth.

Content Objective: I can identify Earth’s natural resources and explain why they are important.

• WIDA Standard 5 (Social Studies): Identify natural resources (trees, water, soil, sun) and describe how they are used.

• WIDA Standard 4 (Science): Recognize how people use Earth’s resources.

• WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use simple sentence frames (“A ___ is a resource. We use it to ___.”) to share about resources with peers.
