Reading a Weather Forecast

In this lesson, students will read about how Bentley and his family use a weather forecast to prepare for their picnic.

WIDA Standard 4 (Science): Interpret a basic daily forecast (conditions by time of day).

WIDA Standard 2 (Language Arts): Use sequence/time words to explain plans based on weather.

WIDA Standard 1 (Social/Instructional): Use frames (e.g., “In the morning it is ___, so we ___.”).
