Step One Science: Earth Science 1.1: Earth, Sky, and Patterns

This is the first Earth and Space Science path in the Garbanzo Academy. This introductory path introduces foundational concepts about Earth, the sky, and natural patterns we can observe every day. Students learn to identify Earth as a planet, describe what is seen in the sky during the day and night, and recognize how the Sun appears to move. They explore how shadows change, observe the daily cycle of day and night, and notice repeated patterns in the sky.

Designed especially for Multilingual Learners (MLLs), this path includes both simplified informational texts and engaging narrative stories that use repetition, visuals, and clear academic language to build science understanding while supporting English language development.
