Step One Science: Life Science 1.3: Humans

This is the third Life Science path in the Garbanzo Academy. In this path, students learn that humans are living things and special kinds of animals. They explore what humans need to live and how our bodies help us move, breathe, and sense the world around us. Students identify major body parts and systems, including bones, muscles, the heart, lungs, and senses.

This path connects science understanding with real-life experience, helping multilingual learners describe body parts and functions, use comparative and descriptive language, and explain how humans stay healthy and alive.

This path aligns with WIDA Standard 4 (Science) and integrates Standards 1 and 2 through labeling, describing, and retelling scientific information.
